Chris is a member of the Charity Law Association and has served on a number of their working parties assisting on legal and regulatory reform. He also writes and speaks widely, including for Charity Finance Group and legal training providers. He co-wrote The Informed Trustee course published by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, and has written the legal content for books on trading and fundraising by charities published by the Directory of Social Change.
Before specialising in charity law, he practised as a independent barrister and retains the analytical skills first honed there. He is a trustee, volunteer and fundraiser for several charities.
